Getting burnt noodles off a stainless steel pot?

I have the Rachael Ray Stainless Steel cookware.

My fiance decided to make one of those lipton noodle things….and then forgot he was cooking. By the time he figured out that he forgot it, the noodles & sauce were burnt to the bottom of the pan. Now, after three days of soaking in hot soappy water, we still have a thick coating of hard burnt on noodle mess. I even tried just boiling water in the pot, that didn’t work either. How can I get this off?

I would put some white vinegar in it. Straight, not diluted. Pour it up to the level of whatever is left of the noodle disaster. Leave it to sit for a couple days. Then, dump the vinegar out (leave it damp, don’t dry it) and coat the bottom with salt. A good, thick layer of salt. Add some lemon juice- like maybe a few tablespoons, not too much because you are gonna be making like a dry paste with the salt. Then take a cloth and scrub the burned areas with the salt paste and that might work.
